The beach village of Playa Santa Teresa is located in the south of the Nicoya Peninsula.

This beach is known worldwide for some of the best surfing spots in Central America. Private and secluded, Playa Santa Teresa lies on the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, and is roughly 150 km west of the capital city San Jose.

Situated north of the very popular Playa Mal Pais, Playa Santa Teresa is a beautiful white/grey sandy beach with swells that are superb all year round. Some 12 km south-east of Cobano.

How to get to The Nautilus hotel in Santa Teresa /Mal Pais Costa Rica.

By Air:

Departing from San Jose, this flight will take around 30 minutes to get to Tambor. From Tambor it will be just another 40 minutes ride to get to the hotel. We could offer you transportation to/from the hotel.

By Car:

From San José: By car: Take Highway Panamerican to Puntarenas, then the ferry from Puntarenas to Paquera..Follow the road from Paquera through Tambor, Cobano to Malpais/Santa Teresa.

From the Liberia international airport go south driving to Nicoya, once there follow the road to Carmona, Lepanto, Jicaral, Naranjo, Paquera, Cobano and finally to SantaTeresa.

By Bus:

From the Coca Cola bus station in San Josè there is a direct bus to Malpais and Santa Teresa daily. Call to check on departure times as they change frequently.
